meet the instructor

Hi, I’m Rhiannon.

I’ve been making jewelry for as long as I can remember and teaching jewelry-making workshops for the last eight years.

For me, there is something pretty magical about sitting down at a workbench, picking up the tools, and making something with your own two hands. That moment when you look down and think, “I MADE THIS!” never gets old — and it’s an even greater joy to help someone else experience it.

My workshops are intentionally kept small so I can connect with each student and offer plenty of one-on-one guidance along the way. We laugh, we play, we experiment, we learn — and sometimes we surprise ourselves with what we’re capable of making.

With a background in education and years of experience as a working jewelry artist, I love helping students feel comfortable with the tools, build confidence, and discover that jewelry making is something they can actually do.

Whether you're completely new to metalsmithing or looking to build on skills you already have, there’s something wonderful about stepping away from everyday life for a few hours and getting your hands dirty making something beautiful.

I split my time between the Monterey Bay area of California and the Bahías of Huatulco in Oaxaca, Mexico, and I’m so happy to bring my love of jewelry making to both communities.

I hope you’ll join me at the workbench soon.
